Portfolio film review. Activity 4.

Clockwork orange Clockwork Orange is classic and very interesting movie directed and produced by Stanley Kubrick in 1971, based on the book with the same name, written by the English author Anthony Burgess and released in 1962. “Clockwork orange” is a movie in which Alex DeLarge (Malcolm McDowell), a guy who took part in a rebel gang which went around the city committing vandalisms against rich, prestigious people and authorities, finally gets caught by the police and ends up in jail, where he is submitted to a new procedure where scientists and psychologists engage to “cure” his evilness with a special serum and procedure. They employ this new cure on him and when he gets out of jail, he encounters a lot of people who he and his gang had hurt or challenged, so these people start getting revenge on him. New trends in lifestyles. Activity 3.

Have you ever felt the social pressure of needing to go to parties jut to fit in? Because I believe we all have. Nowadays, teens feel like they have the obligation to go to parties every week; parties which end at 4 am., and in which you are pressured into drinking, dancing or “having fun”, etc. This topic has turned into a lifestyle for many teens. 6 out of 10 teens go to parties every week, and some of those who don´t, is because their parents won´t let them. Out of these 6 teens who assist, only 3 of them enjoy the mood, music and people who are in there, the other 3, are just there because of social pressure.  Most times, teens feel the obligation of fitting into the “mold” that everyone else is in, and going to parties, drinking, dancing music you probably don´t like, amongst other things. Present and future inspire me, because everything you do in the present, is going to have an impact in the future, so people have to do the things that inspire them in order to progress. I would invite Vincent Van Gogh, because he was such a misunderstood person, yet such a revolutionary figure which is still a mystery; I would ask him what kept him going. My course would be "Leadership and Perspective", both are really important aspects in society which most times go unnoticed, but can have a positive impact on other people depending on how you see the world. I would contribute by cleaning and making a calm and fun ambient, as well as providing help with other housework such as cooking or ordering, I would be a really respectful team member. There are a lot of areas that would fit me and my personal interests, due to the fact that I am very skillful at math.
